Radiation Absorption – Certified Measurements

Certified Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing according to European Commission standard EN 55022:2010 shows the amount of radio disturbance generated by information technology products in the region 9kHz to 400GHz, which includes cellular phones, Wi-Fi, and wireless computer equipment.

The coMra Wave technology has been tested according to this standard by using two brand name cellphones with and without the coMra Wave Cell prototype.

The transmitted field strength was measured both in standby and operation mode using the following setup:
The results below show measurements for a major brand cellphone in operation mode (during a call) both with and without the coMra Wave technology.

Certified measurements – testing setup

Each measurement result shows the maximum transmitted field strength from the cell phone after rotation through 360 degrees to find the strongest transmission axis. Results are presented in both the vertical and horizontal measurement modes, along with the calibrated noise floor measurement.

Certified measurements – results and discussion

As a result of test measurement it was found that coMra Wave technology accounts for around 15% reduction of maximum transmitted field strength in a standby mode.
And 20-30% reduction of maximum transmitted field strength during the call.
